If you are going to Colombia, make the check out to Bridges of Hope and send it with your application to Janet Michel, 12950 Abraham Run, Carmel, IN 46033.
Note: It is essential that you pay close attention to the mission trip timeline below. It is the responsibility of each team member to send in their payments on time. It is very important that each team member recognize that once they have committed to go on the trip that if they decide at some point not to go, it can put our entire team in jeopardy because we are required to place significant deposits with the airlines to secure seats which can be lost. If you do not honor your commitment, it may not be possible to substitute someone in your place.
Mission Trip Timeline
1. 7 Months prior to departure date we begin recruiting.
A trip deposit of $100 is due to assure holding a spot on the mission trip.
**Note: By law the IRS considers this as an unrestricted donation which is non refundable if you are subsequently unable to go on the trip for any reason. The money will be used for mission trip expenses, such as the purchase of medications and supplies.
2. 9 Months (270 days) before departure date, or sooner: Apply for passport.
You must have a valid passport that will not expire for 6 months or greater from the trip dates.
3. 100 Days before departure date: Names exactly as they appear on passports submitted to travel agent who submits them to airlines.
**NOTE: We must have a copy of the declaration page of your passport in our possession before we can book an airline ticket for you.
4. 70 Days before departure date: Final payment due.
The balance of your trip payment must be received no later than 70 days before departure. NO EXCEPTIONS!
It is the responsibility of each team member to be accountable to the above dates. If you fail to submit the above in a timely manner, it can have a very negative effect on our whole team financially. Ticket prices and hotel/travel packages are all based upon a certain number of people.
